Orpingtons are docile and dual purpose breed that originated in England.  They are very cold hardy and winter tolerant. These beautiful birds came from Blue Creek, Ohio from a show breeder. I was very please with their body structure and beautiful feathers even as chicks. I rode 6 hours back home with them. They lay up to 200 eggs per year.
