The Brown Chinese goose is a graceful and attractive breed. They are usualyy very docile and considered good garden weeders and guard birds. Our first pair of geese came from an auction. They were named Otis and Etta after 2 of my favorite singers. I came to love the breed and have added some from Various farms throughout Ky. They make excellent guard animals and will protect your flock at all cost. They lay 50-60 eggs per year, but can lay up to 100. Geese typically lay from March until the end of August.  Some geese will lay their first winter although it is not common.
